National Night Out
2012 National Night Out BBQ a Huge Success!
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2012 CHUN and Alamo Placita National night Out BBQ! The event was a huge success with over 300 people in attendance! We also had the privilege of hosting Mayor Michael B. Hancock, Police Chief Robert White, DPD District 6 Commander Tony Lopez, Denver Director of Corrections Chief Gary Wilson, Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey, Councilman Albus Brooks, State Rep. Mark Ferrandino, the Denver Police District 6 NPO’s Ryan Nunnelly and Tim Goss, the Mounted Patrol, officers from DPD Bike 6, Engine 8, Ladder 8 and ten members including the Captain of Denver Fire Department’s Station 8, the Guardian Angels, and many others. Our good friends and corporate sponsor of this and other events, UMB, were also on hand to volunteer and help out.

Colfax Ave., Alamo Placita Neighborhood Association, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt at 8th and Colorado Blvd., Snow Business, King Soopers at 9th and Downing and all of our attendees, city officials, emergency personnel, and guests who attended! NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
• Heighten awareness about crime and drug prevention;
• Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
• Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and won't tolerate illegal behavior.
