Denver Santa Claus Shop
The Denver Santa Claus Shop is believed to be the longest, continuously running charity of its kind in the U.S., and is Metro Denver’s largest annual toy drive for needy children during the Holiday Season. The Santa Claus Shop is an 80-year-old, volunteer-run 501-c (3) nonprofit organization.
Denver B Cycle
Denver B-cycle is Denver’s bike sharing system. With 87 stations and 700 bikes throughout ten central Denver neighborhoods, you can check out and return a B-cycle at any station 5 a.m. to midnight, 365 days a year. B-cycle is designed for locals and visitors for short, one- way trips that are 30 minutes or less. Check out a bike to get to work, a game or museum. Commute to work or run errands. It’s an easy, cost-effective, fun way to get around.
Denver Energy Challenge
The Denver Energy Challenge helps residents make home energy upgrades easy and affordable. Free, neutral Energy Advisors work with Denver residents to identify energy goals, develop a tailored Energy Action Report for each home, provide guidance on rebates, tax credits and low-interest financing, review bids, select a contractor and act as an expert resource until the work is complete.
Participants in The Denver Energy Challenge are saving an average of 23% by doing upgrades.
Capitol Hill United Ministries
Capitol Hill United Ministries is an interfaith religious organization comprising of 28 churches and
faith-based service agencies in Capitol Hill. Our mission is to be a spiritual presence and resource in the
inner city of Denver, to practice hospitality, to advocate for our neighbors in need, and to strengthen and
sustain our member communities, particularly through effective communication and cooperation,
enhancing the ministry of all. .The CHUM Coupon Program has provided more than $600,000 to agencies
in the Capitol Hill community.

- Inform DBG of significant neighborhood issues about the Gardens
- Disseminate information to the Neighbors from DBG
- Review & comment on DBG projects (City Planning Department has approval authority).
- Submit “Neighborhood Representative” candidates to serve on the DBG’s board of Trustees.
