Board Committees

HISTORY MATTERS 
The History Matters Committee identifies historic preservation and revitalization opportunities within CHUN' boundaries, monitors landmark designation activities, drafts position statements for board review and approval, and hosts periodic enrichment opportunities for the community.

URBAN PLANNING 
The Urban Planning Committee reviews matters pertaining to zoning, transit, community development, licensing, placemaking, and density; the committee also drafts position statements for board review and approval. In addition, the committee build awareness and facilitates community engagement and thought leadership pertaining to salient matter like climate change, parks and open space, environmental stewardship, and transit.  ​​​

DEVELOPMENT
​
The Development Committee  coordinates opportunities designed to build awareness for, and philanthropic support of, CHUN. In addition, the committee oversees outreach to all members, develops membership benefits, ensures all special mailings are completed; and boosts support for business and nonprofit community partners.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
​The Community Engagement Committee is responsible for building goodwill and citizen engagement throughout CHUN's boundaries; leads effort to engage volunteerism among organization membership; coordinates neighborhood investment opportunities and manages good neighbor awards.

TEARS-MCFARLANE HOUSE
​
The Tears-McFarlane House (TMF) Committee engages with our TMF partners, City Street Investors, in planning and projects for the jointly-owned Tears-McFarlane house.
