SEED Funding Process and Application

We appreciate your interest in CHUN’s SEED Awards Program. Please complete the application below and submit by November 20, 2020. You may submit additional documentation, such as photos, budget and partner(s) information to community@chundenver.org and include your project name in the subject line. A review committee will select projects that best meet the criteria of the SEED award and will notify all applicants no later than December 4, 2020. Award recipients will be announced at a public (likely virtual) event...to be announced soon.
General Requirements

Priorities

  • Individuals, groups or organizations applying must be proposing a project within CHUN’s boundaries.
  • Recipients must be currently recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as an entity described in Section 501(c)(3) and/or a Registered Neighborhood Organizations (RNO) as defined by the City and County of Denver.
  • Groups or organizations that do not have such designation may only apply in partnership with an IRS-qualified entity.
  • Projects should have a permanent presence and should have the capacity to acknowledge Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods’ support publicly and in a visible way. 
  • Does proposed project align with CHUN's mission/values?
  • Do the individuals and/or organization have a track record of implementing community enhancement projects?
  • Is the project viable and can it be completed within a nine-month period? 
  • Could the project be replicable in other neighborhoods?
  • Is the applicant a member of CHUN?
  • Will the project will have long-term impact in the community?
  • Does the project incorporate other community partners?
  • Priority will be given to projects that clearly benefit those who are disadvantaged and/or marginalized.
