Request a Boost From CHUN
Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods mission is to engage people and facilitate dialogue. A part of achieving that is helping our nonprofit partners whose work directly impacts the residents and community of the greater Capitol Hill area. If you are a nonprofit that has an event or message you'd like to promote on Facebook and Twitter to our 3500 followers, please submit it to chun@chundenver.org with the following best practices in mind.

Want a Fresh Post?
For new posts, please follow the guidelines below.
Guidelines for submitting requests:
- Submit your text in text format (Word or plain text; not PDF) so that copying and pasting is simple for our administrators.
- Identify yourself in your text. For example, don't use "we" or "us". Use your proper name (e.g. "The City and County of Denver" or "Walk Denver").
- Please include all of the information in the text copy, including who, what, where, and if possible, why.
- Here is an example of ideal content:
"[Nonprofit Partner Who Has An Overlapping Mission with CHUN, Inc.], is seeking feedback about [A Topic] and would like to hear from area residents to improve their services. Please attend their public meeting on November 2 at [A Location Ideally Located in the CHUN Boundaries] at 6 pm. For more information visit [web URL].")

- If you have images or art you'd like to use, please submit them via email in Facebook-friendly resolution and sizes.
- Make sure the image is at least 600px wide/high minimum on a side
- Facebook link image size: 1200 x 628
- Facebook image post size: 1200 x 900
- Facebook highlighted image size: 1200 x 717
- Facebook event image size: 1920 x 1080
- File size should be less than 5MB
- File Types: PNG or JPG
- Make sure the image is at least 600px wide/high minimum on a side
- Limit your text copy to a readable and digestible length for Facebook posts. A best practice is no more than 400 characters or your post is cut off (truncated).
- Create an event on your own page. Instead of just a text post about an event, make it exciting and shareable by creating a Facebook event where you can track attendance, encourage people to share with their friends, and boost visibility. An event is infinitely superior to a text post and we are happy to share it directly.
